Give-and-take of objects, knowledge, practices
The gratuitous bazaar of Sporos, now in its own place, brings a proposal for creative resistance based on exchange, re-use, alteration and many more.
If we consider the objects that are piled at a corner in our home because they are not used anymore, the money we spend for new, more “modern” products and the working hours that are required for their purchase…
If we consider under which working conditions they are made and how much energy is consumed for their production…
If we calculate the volume of garbage that is created by all the things we dispose of so easily…
then, our steps will lead us to… SKORO, a solidarity bazaar, gratuitous and anti-consumerist that is addressing everyone, regardless of economic situation. A give-and-take of things but also a meeting point for exchange of knowledge/ experience/ practices (for example, I offer a hair-cut and you teach me how to knit!)
We are neither a philanthropic organisation, nor a kind of “alternative church”. We are a group of people that question in practice the dogma “I consume, therefore I am”.
We are expecting you all, old and new friends, at Exarhia, Zoodohou Pigis & Eressou to meet our place, get to know each other and share knowledge and experience.
